What's the difference between bullying and relational aggression?  The word bullying is greatly overused in society today.  True, overt bullying - pushing, hitting, and threatening, for example - is rare.  What we see more often with tweens and teens is relational aggression, also known as emotional bullying or the mean girl phenomenon.  

At GJHS we work daily to educate our students on proper social skills, helping them avoid the pitfalls of relational aggression both as an aggressor and a target as well as encouraging them to stand in the gap for others.  

If you or someone you know is committing or receiving relational aggression, go talk to an adult.
